Type Locality and Naming
The Huobashan Group was named by the Bureau of Geology and mineral resources of Jiangxi in 1984. The type locality is in Huobashan of the Yiyang County. The key section is the Lengshuiwu section in Zhongban of the Yiyang County, Jiangxi (117º22'42″, 28º32'30″).
Lithology and Thickness
The Huobashan Group is composed of grayish green, grayish yellow, brownish red thick-bedded sandstone, gravel-bearing sandstone, silty mudstone and mudstone.

Lower contact
This group is unconformably overlying on the volcanic rocks of the Wuyi Gr.
